This archipelago, located in the Atlantic Ocean near North Africa, comprises the Canary Islands, the Azores, Madeira, and Cape Verde. Derived from the Greek "islas afortunadas," this group is known for its volcanic origin, subtropical climate, and unique biodiversity, as well as good wind conditions year-round thanks to the trade winds, with up to an 80% chance of wind during the summer months (April to October) when the waves are gentler and the wind is consistent. Lanzarote is the closest of the eight Canary Islands to Africa, and thanks to this proximity, it benefits from favorable winds. We are just a four-hour flight from major European cities.
